HOLLYWOOD BAR & FILMWORKS – WOODRIDGE, IL – UCRETE

The owners are thrilled that we completed the restoration on their very tight three-day schedule. We’re planning to return to Hollywood Bar & Filmworks next year to restore the lobby, concessions and bar area floors.

Hollywood Bar & Filmworks in Woodridge opened in 2003. Fashioned after several famous movie houses, it displays priceless movie memorabilia found nowhere else – over 600 black and white photographs from the silent film era through to the golden age of Hollywood line both sides of the main “boulevard,” where a moisture vapor in the concrete floor causes the existing black latex paint to sweat, chip and peel, and become slick.

Before preparing the 3,500 square foot area for repair, Surface Solutions’ expert team of industrial flooring specialists protect the entire art collection with plastic sheeting, then remove the latex paint, tile and carpet. UCRETE® HP is installed at 1/8″ with broadcast sand media. This solid color flooring system adds texture to the surface, providing slip resistance and durability.

Surface Solutions finishes the floor with its own SS 181 Fast Set Epoxy top coat in black and applies yellow and white line striping.
