Working in the 36°F room, Surface Solutions’ team of expert installers first set up a critical ventilation system to establish air movement during the entire job, then prepare the bare, cracked concrete via grinding before troweling on ¼-inch MMA (Methyl methacrylate) Polymer Concrete. This creates a smooth, non-porous flooring surface to work with. After applying the MMA coating and broadcast sand, they add the MMA Top Coat. To build strength and durability, this material mix is allowed to cure, and does so in an exceptionally short time frame.

MMA flooring systems are used in rooms where temperatures remain under 40 degrees and meet a variety of safety performance standards, including clean-ability plus slip, chemical and crack resistance. MMA flooring systems can also fulfill a number of aesthetic design goals in a very cost-effective way.
