Kankakee Tank Wash is one of the top tank cleaning facilities in the United States. Carefully trained wash crews make sure tanker fleets are properly cleaned and sanitized using computer-controlled systems that regulate water temperature, pressure, pH and chemical cleaners. When Kankakee Tank Wash is facing downtime to service their own facility, it cuts into their business.

That’s why Surface Solutions works over a three-day holiday weekend to re-haul the floor of the 6,000-square-foot tank wash area as well as the 1,000-square-foot floor in the boiler room.

Surface Solutions’ industrial flooring expert Johnathan Hindle as his crew prepare the concrete surfaces by grinding off the existing floor coating. They fill the joints with Versaflex SL/75 polyurea joint sealant before finishing with a trowel application of UCRETE UD200 in gray at ¼-inch nominal thickness.

VersaFlex SL/75 is a self-leveling, 100% solids, flexible, two-component, rapid curing modified polyurea joint filler. Designed for 10-15% movement of an installed joint width, VersaFlex SL/75 is recommended for repair of cracks, damaged control joints or new construction joints on horizontal concrete surfaces in cold storage facilities, freezers and food processing plants where time and temperature are serious considerations, as well as:
