Upgrading an old 2,100 square-foot hodge-podge concrete floor in two days is a challenge, one Surface Solutions is up to tackling. A mix of bare concrete, urethane concrete and epoxy mortar, the floor could not withstand the wet, cold environment of a pickle processing plant. After removing the delaminated surfaces and shot blasting away old layers, we patch cracks using UCRETE UD200 and add a brand new, 3-inch cant cove base at 45 degrees using UCRETE RG. This extremely durable polyurethane-concrete additive is great for vertical applications. Our expert team finishes by troweling on a final coat of UCRETE UD200. It mimics the movement of concrete by expanding and contracting with it. It also withstands extreme temperature fluctuations and provides a slip-resistant surface for employees.

After two days, our customer has a seamless, odor-free, FDA and USDA-approved food-safe floor that resists bacteria, stains, heat and corrosive spills like those from pickle juice.
