A candy maker in Cincinnati needs a new flooring solution for not just one, but two areas of their facility –and fast. A total of 6,000 square feet of space on the production line plus a mixing bridge has failing epoxy mortar that is removed and the concrete is prepped via shot blasting and hand grinding for a new UCRETE^® HP flooring system, which is used to add texture to the flooring surface for durability and slip-resistance.

Surface Solutions uses a gauge rake to apply the UCRETE® HP system at ¼-inch with a fast cure pigmented grout coat, broadcast silica sand, a polyaspartic finish coat and two top coats. And … the entire project is all finished in four days, which not only makes the customer happy, they’re quite impressed with our professionalism, too.
