This is why they work with Surface Solutions, Inc. Recently we repaired and installed better flooring in a production room and hallway of their facility in Glasgow, Kentucky. The existing epoxy floor was failing due to routine impact and the thermal cycling of hot water wash downs.

“This is something that we have battled for a very long time,” Mike Wernigk, Director of Quality, tells us. “We have brought in ‘experts’ in the past and their solution was to throw a new coating over the floor and say that we were good to go. A year or so later, we would be in the same boat; in two cases much sooner than that.”

After removing the brittle epoxy mortar and finishing the required prefilling, Surface Solutions’ experts apply Ucrete UD200 to the 4,900-square-foot surface and use Ucrete RG for 290 linear feet of three-inch cant cove base. The result? Beautiful red seamless flooring that is made to outperform traditional epoxy flooring surfaces in both impact resistance from heavy traffic and the ability to withstand thermal shock. Downtime on the project is just three days.
