Tank Wash Industrial Flooring Solutions

Once our clients see the difference between a lighter-duty floor coating and our Surface Solutions heavy-duty urethane concrete flooring, they often come back to us for installations in additional locations.

Surface Solutions recently completed another installation for Foodliner, a bulk food-grade carrier with tank wash facilities across the United States. Their Newark, Delaware facility had two wash bays totaling 4,660 square feet with an epoxy coating that could not withstand the heavy vehicles, moisture, and cleaning chemicals.

Our expert installers began by removing the facility’s damaged and delaminated epoxy and shot-blasting the substrate to create a smooth, clean surface for the flooring installation.

We installed Ucrete UD200 urethane concrete at 3/8” thickness and Ucrete RG for the curb areas.

Ucrete Industrial Flooring Solutions

Ucrete UD200 is a dense, textured material that provides ideal resistance to aggressive chemicals, heavy impact, and temperatures up to 300°F. The added benefit of slip-resistance is ideal for wet environments like tank wash facilities and food and beverage processing facilities.

UCrete RG is designed to provide the same resistance against impact and aggressive chemicals and moisture on vertical surfaces like walls, curbing, and trench drains.

We finished with a Novolac epoxy safety line striping in traffic yellow along the curbing.

This project was completed in record time, totaling 6 days from start to finish. Our customer, Foodliner, was once again pleased with the outcome.
